Description A soldier with radiation poisoning symptoms (hair loss, bleeding gums, hemorrhagic spots on skin). He was exposed to the atomic bomb in a wooden house of the Infantry First Reserve (Chugoku 104 Corps), 1 km from the hypocenter. He suffered hair loss, bleeding gums, hemorrhagic spots on his skin, but managed to survive and recover. The barracks of the Infantry First Reserve, located on the east side of the main enclosure of Hiroshima Castle, were destroyed by the blast, and many soldiers were pinned under the rubble. Soon after, the barracks were engulfed in flames.
