Description Looking east-southeast (hypocenter) from near Kagawa Bicycle Shop in Takajo-machi. A message board to inform of people's whereabouts was erected at the site of a house completely destroyed by fire. In the right foreground are the remains of many bicycles, which appear to belong to the bicycle shop. From the left, the Hiroshima Prefectural Commerce, Industry, and Economy Association; behind it, Fukuya Department Store, Geibi Bank head office, Chiyoda Insurance Hiroshima Branch, etc. In the center is the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall (the Atomic Bomb Dome), and the building with the broken windows on the far right is Honkawa National Elementary School.
