Description | One of the large camphor trees in Kokutaiji, whose branches had grown to overhang the street on which the streetcars ran, collapsed at its base. It was 300 years old and was designated as a natural monument. On the far right in the background is the former Hiroshima Branch of the Bank of Japan, about 380 meters from the hypocenter. |
