Description | Inside a Hiroshima Dentetsu streetcar whose ceiling was blown off by the atomic bomb's blast, exposing its steel frame. The streetcar was heading toward Hiroshima Station and was about 70 meters east of the Kamiya-cho intersection when the atomic bomb exploded. The blast pushed it off the track to the north, and the bomb's intense heat burned the wooden parts. The stone wall visible in the left background is the outer moat of the destroyed Hiroshima Castle. |
