Description Looking north from in front of the burnt ruins of the Mainichi Newspapers Hiroshima branch office (built of wood; located at 3-39 Ote-machi, now 2-5 Ote-machi) on Ote-machi Street. The Hiroshima Gas head office can be seen on the left; the Hiroshima Bank assembly hall, Nippon Life Insurance Hiroshima branch, and Sanwa Bank Hiroshima branch on the right. A burnt gatepost and wreckage of an automobile can be seen in the right foreground.
