Description On the Aioi Bridge, looking south from a point east of its center. Clockwise from left foreground, part of the Japan Red Cross Society Hiroshima Chapter building, Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall (now, the A-bomb Dome), Hiroshima Gas Company, Motoyasu Bridge, and the head office building of Chugoku Haiden. On the right, at the end of the Motoyasu Bridge is the Fuel Hall. The fallen railing, which was caught in the one that was pushed outward by the blast, thought to have been lost in the Makurazaki typhoon on September 17, which is not shown in photographs taken afterward.
