| Description | Looking east-southeast from near the main pillar on the north side of the west end of the Aioi Bridge. In the back, from left: Hiroshima Chapter of Japanese Red Cross Society, Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall (the A-bomb Dome), the Hiroshima branch of the Bank of Japan, and Motoyasu Bridge. The blast created a gap of up to 1.4 meters between the sidewalk and the roadway. |
