Description | Taken at the Ujina branch of the Hiroshima First Army Hospital. A man with symptoms of hair loss. At the time of the bombing, he was at the Chugoku Military District Infantry First Reserve (104 Corps), 900 meters from the hypocenter, and was exposed to thermal rays from the left rear while in a standing position. His military uniform was burned, but a white bandage on his right hand was not. His burns were relatively minor, but symptoms of hair loss, bleeding gums, and spots from subcutaneous hemorrhaging appeared 10 days after the bombing. |
