| Description | This photo appears to show the south of Honkawa National Elementary School, located 410 meters from the hypocenter. The school served as a first-aid station, and many people were cremated in the schoolyard. Dead bodies in the neighborhood were collected and cremated in the burned ruins of temples near the school, too. |
