| Description | Hiroshima City First National Elementary School in Danbarayamasaki-cho, about 2,600 meters east-southeast of the hypocenter. Evacuees flooded into the Danbara area, which escaped the fire and was shielded from the blast by Hijiyama hill. The school became a relief station. Military doctors from the Army's Akatuki Corps and doctors from the suburbs provided medical treatment. |
