| Description | View of the burned-out city of Hiroshima from the west side of the Hiroshima Higashi (East) Police Station. People can be seen heading toward the city center on the street with street car tracks. Immediately after the bombing, many people entered the city to search for their relatives and friends, rescue the injured, collect corpses and engage in restoration efforts. These people were also exposed to residual radiation. The buildings in the center are the Chugoku Shimbun main and new buildings and the Fukuya Department Store. This is a panorama of three photos combined. |
