| Description | A seven-photo panorama from southwest to northeast from the west end of Kyobashi Bridge. Kyobashi River and the Inarimachi streetcar bridge are on the far left. Hiroshima Higashi (East) Police Station can be seen in the far left background. In front of the police station is a cluster of gravestones, probably the burnt remains of the Kokyoji Temple cemetery. The Nippon Kangyo Bank Hiroshima branch, the Chugoku Shimbun newspaper, the Fukuya Department Store new building, Hiroshima Nagarekawa Church, and the Fukuya Department Store old building can be seen. People, including a girl and a woman using an umbrella in place of a parasol, perhaps searching for their relatives, are also photographed. Faintly seen in the center background is the Hiroshima Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and in front of it is the Hiroshima Central Broadcasting Station, painted in camouflage. The two photos on the right show the Kyobashi River, Sakae Bridge (in the background), and Mt. Futaba. |
