| Description | The burned areas are, from the foreground: Ebisu-cho, Horikawa-cho and Mikawa-cho. The old Hirataya River (present Namiki Street) runs horizontally in the middle. On the opposite side of the former river are: Hirataya-cho, Teppoya-cho, Shinsenba-cho and so on. From the left rear: Tada Pediatric Clinic, Ebayama Hill, Hiroshima City Hall, Miyajima Island, Eba Sarayama, Hiroshima City Asano Library and the head office of Chugoku Haiden (now the Chugoku Electric Power Company). In the center is KIRIN Beer Hall, to its right are Shimomura Clock Shop, Hiroshima Central Telephone Office and Fukuromachi National Elementary School. |
