| Description | The chimney of the Chugoku Shimbun new building stands in the center. In the rear, from the left: Sanyo Match; the Hiroshima factory of the Teikoku Rayon Company (now Teijin Ltd.); the main building of Hiroshima University of Literature and Science (now Hiroshima University); the National Elementary School affiliated with the Hiroshima Higher Normal School, and Hiroshima Red Cross Hospital. In the right foreground is Hiroshima Communication Bureau's Mikawacho warehouse. Ninoshima Island is to the rear in the center. The burned areas are, from the foreground: Ebisu-cho, Horikawa-cho, Nagarekawa-cho, Mikawa-cho and so on. |
