Description At the foot of the mountains, from the left: Chugoku Military District Headquarters (the 5th Divisional Headquarters) building No.1, the ruins of Hiroshima Castle, the Ota River railway bridge of Sanyo Line, and the West Drill Ground. In the foreground, the street belonging to Hiroshima Electric Railway’s Hakushima Line runs diagonally, in the rear, the outer moat of the ruins of Hiroshima Castle runs parallel to the street [Hatchobori]. The chimney in the middle right stands on the site of a cannery. The burned areas are, from the foreground: Teppo-cho, Hatchobori, and Motomachi. In the center to the rear is Mt. Hiyama.
