At the foot of the mountains, from the left: Sanyo Line's Ota River railway bridge; Hiroshima Army Cadet School; the kitchen hall of Hiroshima Army Cadet School; Hiroshima Communications Bureau; Hiroshima Communications Bureau Hospital, and the Chugoku Military District Weaponry Division. The chimney left of center is on the site of a cannery. The diagonal road in the center, is Hiroshima Electric Railway’s present-day Hakushima Line; the outer moat of the ruins of Hiroshima Castle run parallel to the street [Hatchobori]. The burned areas are, from the foreground: Teppo-cho, Hatchobori and Motomachi. From the left rear, Mt. Takeda, Mt. Tonoro, Mt. Gongen and so on. |
