The National government’s special committee consisted of about ten members including Tadayoshi Sasaki and Shuji Aihara. They entered Hiroshima City by truck from Japan Steel Works in Kaita, where they were staying. This is their first day in Hiroshima City. In front of the A-bomb Dome a streetcar of the Hiroshima Electric Railway (No. 413) is heading toward Kamiya-cho (left). The street car tracks in this area (Sakan-cho = Hatchobori) were restored on September 7th, 1945. |
