| Description | From the northwest side of the large torii gate of Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine, looking southwest. The willow tree in the center had its branches ripped off by the blast. From the left: the burned down Hiroshima chapter of Japan Red Cross, Hiroshima Prefectural Commerce Association and two survivors’ shacks built soon after the war on the Motomachi bank of the Honkawa. |
