| Description | From the northeast side of the large torii gate of Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine, looking northwest. A willow tree standing on the west side of the Hiroshima First Army Hospital, First Branch, was knocked down by the blast. The willow tree standing directly north of the hypocenter fell to the west, probably because the strong pressure from the explosion created a vacuum, which caused a whirlwind against the outward wind. |
