| Description | Taken at the Ujina branch of the Hiroshima First Army Hospital. A man with wounds on his upper body caused by shards of glass. About one kilometer north of the hypocenter, he was standing with work pants but no shirt about three or four meters from a window at the time of the bombing. Shards of glass blown by the blast pierced his upper body in 165 places. He suffered a unique kind of aneurysm and mild symptoms of illness caused by A-bomb radiation. |
